The Yucca is a beautiful hardy high desert plant that is often overlooked. It is quite common in the southwestern states including Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico etc... I have featured them in several recent oil paintings. In this particular painting it is all about that Yucca plant against the beautiful warm sunset. I would imagine this to be a typical view for a jackrabbit as he tries to avoid the wiley coyote. Framed in a beautiful dark wooden frame from Mannies in Denver.
